Camp Fairyland, a private coed overnight camp for boys and girls ages 7-12, invites you to discover an exciting, fun, and above all enriching experience for your child this summer!
Camp Fairyland children don’t just have fun and make lasting friendships but they also grow as human beings. The camp experience that we offer provides a nurturing environment for our campers to grow and learn new skills. Our campers take part in a community of like-minded children and staff, where they develop their social skills through communication. One of the most important things we offer is time to “just be a kid!”
Our staff, working with children, uses the methodology, which is based on the old Russian pedagogical school and tradition, creatively reworked and adapted to the realities of American life. This technique fills some of the gaps that exist in the pedagogical approach of the American school system. Its main thing - is educational work individually with each child. Very often, children do not know how to communicate with each other, how to build friendships and support it. Many children do not know how to find the way out of the conflict or simply ambiguous situations that may occur in any group. This lack of knowledge may lead in the future to psychological problems and depression. Due to the high quality of teachers, Camp’s Fairyland campers become more sociable, friendly, are beginning to realize that friendly relations can only be built on mutual respect. This educational work has a tremendous positive response from the parents.
There are four major and very important characteristics of the Camp Fairyland, which makes our camp unique:
    Individual work with each child.
    Involving children in sports and a healthy lifestyle. Trainers and educators of Camp Fairyland attract all children in a variety of occupations playing sports (volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis), as well as running and swimming. For all children is compulsory morning exercises and participation in various sporting events and competitions. Four meals in the camp’s restaurant, are based on the principles of healthy nutrition. Tasty homemade cuisines, healthy diet with large number of vegetables, fruits and juices and sporting activities lead to the fact that many children for the time spent at Camp Fairyland improve their health, which is very important in light of the increasing problem of obesity in children in the United States.
    Our counselors teach our campers of order and discipline. The Camp’s Fairyland children have daily responsibilities - to keep their things in order, to dim their beds, keep their rooms clean, to be on duty around the camp and in the dining room. All these, disciplines the children, making them more independent and responsible.
